Goverence

The Omo Valley Research Project (OVRP) was founded in 2019 by anthropologists Luke Glowacki and Zach Garfield, who have long-standing research and community ties in Ethiopia's Omo Valley. Recognizing how often financial barriers keep talented youth from continuing their education, they established OVRP to provide scholarships and mentorship and to build community-engaged research partnerships. Today, OVRP works to expand educational opportunity and strengthen the connections between scholars and the communities they study.
